CLAMSHELL GRASSCATCHER
There are two types supplied by SCAG, both driven off the deck:
The CLAM-SHELL has a 15 cu ft capacity and emptying is lever operated from the seat.
The Fabric 3-bag system has 20 cu ft capacity. Individual bags emptied manually.
There is a 2 bag system available for the Freedom Z.
Developed by SCAG for the larger ride-on machines, the clamshell grasscatcher is effective and quick to operate. The door is opened from the operator’s seat; the angled base assists ejection of the grasscuttings, and there is an automatic “sweep” action as part of the door opening sequence.
STRIPING KIT
The SCAG “Tiger Striper” gives grass a high-profile, professionally striped finish. It features a spring-loaded roller design for enhanced pattern appearance. Kit installs and removes in minutes.
BLADE BUDDY
The patented “Blade Buddy” prevents the cutter blade from rotating while changing blades. Makes blade removal and re-installation quick and easy.
MULCHING PLATE
The convenient SCAG Mulching Plate lets you convert from side discharge to mulching mode while in the field.
ELIMINATOR BLADES
These blades feature a serrated “double-cut” edge, shredding the grass to return clippings and nutrients back to the soil. Eliminator blades are included with the Hurricane Plus Mulching system, or can be purchased separately for use with the SCAG Mulching Plate.
